Washington(October 2, 2017): At least two people were killed and 24 injured in a shooting overnight Sunday at a country music festival on the Las Vegas Strip.
University Medical Center spokeswoman Danita Cohen confirmed the death toll, though there were unconfirmed reports of more injuries and casualties.
Twelve of the injured were in critical condition, the hospital said. Eyewitnesses said at least two shooters were involved in the attack. Police said one of the suspects was neutralized.
Witnesses said they saw multiple victims as they fled the gunfire raining down on the concert venue. Some later huddled in the basement of the nearby Tropicana hotel-casino.

Country singer Jason Aldean was playing near the end of the concert when the gunfire rang out.
A concert-goer said he heard what sounded like fireworks while he was watching the performance.
