New York(October 4, 2017): The United Nations International Children ‘s Emergency Fund has appealed for emergency response to help children of Rohingya refugees.
Amid the deepening refugee crisis in Bangladesh and its attendant toll on children, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNCEF) launched an appeal for its emergency response to reach some 720,000 children – both in Rohingya refugee and host communities – with protection and assistance.
The UNICEF Executive Director Anthony Lake who is in Bangladesh on a visit said desperate, traumatized children and their families are fleeing the violence in Myanmar every day.
