Parliament Protects Corrupt Mafia: Imran Khan

Kot Addu (November 3, 2017): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan continued his tirade against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, and claimed that the parliament ‘protected’ Nawaz Sharif.

Khan addressed a political rally in Kot Addu and criticised the leaders of Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

Imran Khan said that a democratic setup entails supremacy of the law which is not the case in the present situation of the country.

Imran said that he went to all the institutions to seek action against Nawaz’s corruption.

“We asked answers but no one did anything to help us. Rather they protected Nawaz and his family,” he remarked while speaking about National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.

He remarked that the parliament protected the corrupt mafia. “We went to Supreme Court after all institutions refused to help us.”Corrupt rulers hamper a country’s progress, he added.

“Iqama Khawaja Asif” had advised the Sharif family that people will forget about Panama case in a few days. “I want to ask Asif if his money was stolen that people will forget about it? You looted the money of the people of the nation.”

These people have been looting the country and yet their greediness has no bounds, he said, adding “they don’t care about problems of the people.”

Reiterating his earlier promises, he claimed that if he comes into power he will improve the police and education departments of all the provinces.

He said that it should be regarded as Allah Almighty’s blessing that the nation is aware of what is going wrong with the country. He criticised the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz by alleging that the family runs out of Pakistan to London if someone has a cough, let alone a serious condition.

Speaker of the National Assembly was asked to summon an explanation from Nawaz Sharif but he proved to be an inefficient elected member of the government.

Earlier, Imran reached the venue of the rally along with other party leaders Jahangir Tareen and Aleem Khan.

“Nawaz Sharif lied and failed to present a single document as evidence,” he said. “When the JIT [Joint Investigation Team] was formed, even then no evidence was provided to substantiate their claims.”

“What message is being conveyed? Does this mean one should not steal small things and go for bigger ones?” he questioned, lamenting that prisons in the country are overcrowded with poor people involved in petty crimes.

“The one who took away Rs300 billion asks why was he ousted,” Khan took a jibe at Nawaz. “You are attacking the courts to hide your corruption.”

He said his party, after coming into power, will provide highest capital and facilities to farmers.

Noting that Rs200 billion is being spent on Orange Line Train that covers only 27 kilometres, the PTI chairperson said if a lesser amount is given to farmers, then it would bring prosperity in the country.

He took oath from people not to give vote for those, who have concentrated money abroad. He asked public to negate money maker rulers of Pakistan.Imran Advises Public To Negate Money Maker Rulers PTI chairman said that present rulers have their heir in foreign countries and they have built empires on wealth of nation.
