38 killed in attack on Afghan military hospital

KABUL: At least 38 people were killed and 70 others were injured in the attack on a military hospital in Kabul on Wednesday.

According to the details, four gunmen dresses as doctors stormed the Sardar Daud Khan hospital and opened indiscriminate firing on the people. The military hospital is situated near the United States’ embassy in Kabul’s diplomatic zone.

One of the attackers blew himself up at the main gate of the hospital and others were gunned down by the armed forces in a seven-hour long shootout.

Afghanistan defence ministry confirmed that all the four terrorists were killed in the encounter. Islamic State claimed the responsibility for the attack. Pakistan condemned the terrorists attack on the military hospital in Kabul.
