38 Taliban, IS Militants Killed In Airstrikes In Afghanistan

Web Desk (November 05, 2018): Thirty-eight Taliban and Islamic State militants have been killed in separate airstrikes in Laghman, Nangarhar and Jawzjan provinces.

According to military official, seven Islamic State militants were killed in the airstrike in Dwakholi Nazian area of the Nazyan district of Nangarhar province.

He said in Laghman province, four Taliban were killed in Gulakhle locality of the Alishang district while six Taliban militants had been killed in Badpakh district during airstrikes.Meanwhile, according to deputy to Jawzjan governor Abdul Rahman Mahmoudi, twenty-one Taliban militants were killed including a Taliban key commander Mullah Haqyar in Qush Tepa district of the province.

Earlier, Taliban claimed the responsibility of the bomb attack in front of the headquarters of Afghanistan’s election commission office in Kabul.

Moreover, Taliban had also warned voters to boycott the ballot “to protect their lives”.

Hundreds of people have been killed or wounded in poll-related violence so far. At least 10 candidates have been killed.
