Football Stalwart Ronaldinho Announces Retirement

Web Desk (January 18, 2018): Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho Gauco expressed plans to retire after 31 years of service to the sport.

The player’s announcement was formally communicated by brother and agent Roberto Assis, both confirming the news while stating that plans are underway for a farewell tour to be held soon in Brazil, Europe and Asia.

Known as one of the greatest footballers of all times, Ronaldinho featured in Forbes’ list of Celebrity 100 in year 2008, having annual net income of $37 million – $13 million.

Ronaldinho debuted in 1987 and led his teams (Barcelona and Milan) to victory a number of times in the past.

Aged 37, the player has now declared to bring an end to his glittering career during which he won many awards and accolades to his name.
