NOTTINGHAM: England inflicted humiliating 169-run defeat on Pakistan in the third of the five-match ODI series at Trent Bridge

Pakistan all out for 275 runs in pursuit of a mammoth 445-run target against England. England sealed the series by 3-0. England opted to bat first and set Pakistan a mammoth of 445-run target, which is the highest ever total in the history of One-day International (ODI) matches.

England’s Alex Hales scored unbeaten 171 runs, J Root 85, Buttler 90 and Morgan made 57 runs in the inning. While Pakistani bowler Hasan Ali took two wickets in the match. Wahab Riaz gave 110 runs and failed to get any wicket in 10 overs.

Pakistani team all out on 247 runs in 42.2 overs. Pakistan’s 11th player Mohammad Amir remained top scorer of the team with 58 runs on 28 balls. While Sharjeel Khan scored 58 runs and Sarfraz Ahmed made 38 runs. England’s Woakes took four wickets and Rasheed grabbed two wickets in the match. Wood, Plunkett, Stokes and M Ali took one wicket each in the match.
