3rd Test: Pakistan Bounce Back Strongly, Bundle out SA At 262

Johannesburg: Following the first two sessions which were dominated by South African batsmen, Pakistani bowlers bounced back with a bang and ripped through the strong proteas batting line up as they returned to the pavilion with 262 on the board on the first day of the third Test at  Johannesburg on Friday.

Pakistan At 17 for loss of two vital wickets- Shahn Masood and senior batsman Azhar Ali- at the stumps of the first day.

At one stage just before tea, South Africa was in strong position with 226 for four, however as the ball started reverse swing Pakistani bowlers attacked African and grabbed the remaining six-wicket after giving only 56 runs.

Markram made brilliant 90 with 16 classic boundaries while Amal added 41, Test debutant Zubayr Hamza 41 and Bruyn quick 49 helped SA to manage 262.

Faheem Ashraf led the green shirts bowling attack and took three, Muhammad Amir, Muhammad Abbas and Hassan Ali grabbed two wickets each.

Earlier, South Africa have won the toss against Pakistan and elected to bat first. Proteas are leading the Three match test series by 2-0.

According to details, Pakistan have made three changes in the team. Fakhar Zaman, Yasir Shah, Shaheen Afridi are out for rest. Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan and Hassan Ali are in the team.

South Africa is already leading the series by 2-0, beating Pakistan in the first two matches. Now Pakistan is facing the fear of whitewash in the series.

Proteas are playing under the leadership of Dean Elger as the Cape Town Test century-maker and series winner captain Faf Du Plessis is not playing due to slow over-rate penalty.

Pakistan does not have good memories with Johannesburg as in 2016 Pakistan played with South Africa here, and got all out for 49 runs only which is their lowest total in the history. While South Africa recently played here in March 2018 with Australia and won that match with a heavy margin of 492 runs.
