3rd Test: Pakistan declare 174-8, set WI 304 for victory

ROSEAU (May 14, 2017): Pakistan has declared its second innings at 174 runs with two wickets remaining on the fourth day of the third Test giving West Indies a 304 runs target to win the Test match.

Pakistan declared the inning when Yasir Shah and Hasan Ali were on the crease. Shah was playing on 38 and Ali on 15. Muhammad Amir and Yasir Shah’s partnership added 61 runs in Pakistan’s total. Whereas Shan Masood and Younis Khan scored 49 runs in partnership. Younis Khan went to pavilion on 35 and Misbah-ul-Haq scored only 02 runs in the innings.

On the other hand, West Indian bowler Joseph took 3 wickets. Gabriel and Bishoo clinched two wickets each.

Earlier, Muhammad Abbas once again showed his real talent when he dismantle West Indian middle order in its first innings and took five-wicket haul that helped Pakistan to get big 129-run lead.

West Indian resistance witnessed previous day could not maintained at fourth day and Muhammad Abbas wrecked through their middle order and despite captain JO Holder concrete stay no other batsman confidently faced Abbas.
