A power plant in Jiangxi Province of China collapsed on Thursday causing 40 deaths and two injuries so far, international media reported.
The power plant which is located in Fengcheng City, central Jiangxi, was under construction. The collapse happened in the early morning around 7 a.m.
As per the city’s safety department, there are workers still trapped at the scene. Paramedics and fire fighters have already arrived and rescue work is continued .
Further investigations are underway.
