Islamabad (February 10, 2018): President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif refused to appear before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi that had summoned him on Saturday morning.
According to sources in Sharif family, neither the former prime minister nor his lawyers would appear before the NAB Rawalpindi.
It is pertinent to mention here that NAB Rawalpindi has decided to file interim references in Al Azizia Steel Mills and Flagship Investment cases and the former premier was summoned to record his statements in this regard.
On the other hand, the NAB sources informed that interim references were prepared against Nawaz Sharif and his sons- Hassan and Hussain- in Al Azizia Steel and Flagship Investment references.
These references were prepared under the supervision of DG NAB Rawalpindi Irfan Mangi. He is the one who had represented NAB in a JIT probing the Panama papers issue.
According to sources both supplementary references will be filed in Islamabad accountability court. NAB has already filed supplementary reference in Avenfield property London flats as NAB has acquired the data of TV interviews of Nawaz Sharif and his sons.
