Mumbai (March 06, 2018): Veteran Bollywood actress Shammi passed away at 89 in Mumbai in early hours of Tuesday.
Popularly known as ‘Shammi Aunty’, the veteran actress had been in poor health since quite a while, as revealed by Bollywood personality Ashok Shekhar.
Born as Nargis Rabadi in 1929 to a Parsi priest, Shammi had broken into the film industry by chance and had worked in over 100 films. Her most popular projects include ‘Coolie No 1’, ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’, ‘Arth’, ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’ and ‘Zabaan Sambhal Ke.’

Her demise has been a source of anguish to various Indian luminaries who took to social media forums to offer their condolences.
