Ronchi Helps United To Set 185 Runs Against Sultans

Sharjah (March 13, 2018): Topper in the points table Islamabad United have set the target of 186 against Multan Sultan as Kiwi opener Luke Ronchi smashed a quick fire 58 runs in just 36 balls in the 25th match of the third edition of Pakistan Super League.

After being sent into bat by Multan skipper Shoaib Malik, Misbah-ul-Haq’s boys did excellent work by piling up a big total of 185 for four.

Opening batsman Luke Ronchi top scored with a brilliant 58 and struck three towering sixes and six fours in his 36-ball brief innings.

He was well supported by Alex Hales, who made 46 off 33 balls with five fours and two sixes, and Hussain Talat, who scored 36 from 21 balls with four boundaries and a six.

For Multan Sultans, pacer Umar Gul was the most successful bowler, taking two wickets for 26 runs.

Earlier, Multan Sultans won the toss and elected to field in their match against Islamabad United.
