Web-Desk (April 05, 2018): Veteran Indian batsman Virat Kohli respond very smartly to former Pakistan captain Shahid Khan Afridi’s tweet on Kashmir saying he doesn’t want to discuss the issue unless he has total knowledge and the intricacies of it.
On a question during his media talks, the Indian skipper said; “It’s a very personal choice for someone to comment about certain issues. Unless I have total knowledge of the issues & the intricacies of it I don’t engage in it but definitely your priority stays with your nation.”
While some media persons distorted Kholi’s statement, making the headlines giving a negative aspect to his remarks against Shahid Afridi what Indian skipper did not make at all.
Kohli stated in response to a question about Afridi’s tweet, “As an Indian you want to express what is best for your nation & my interests are always for the benefit of our nation. If anything opposes it, I would never support it for sure.”

Since Afridi raised his voice against Indian brutalities in held Kashmir and wanted the United Nations to intervene to stop the bloodshed, the Indian media went into a frenzy and started to bring him to disrepute among his millions of fans for his humanitarian stance to support the suppressed people being targeted by Indian forces.
While the Afridi’s fans rallied behind him and launched a tit-for-tat response to support their favorite cricketer who as a human expressed his pain over Indian atrocities in the occupied Kashmir.
Meanwhile, UN chief Antonio Guterres also expressed his concerns over the situation in Held Kashmir and wants all member states including India to protect civilians.
