Salman Awarded Five Years in Jail in Blackbuck Poaching Case

Web-Desk (April 05, 2018): Bollywood’s veteran star Salman Khan on Thusday, has been awarded two years in jail in the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case by a Jodhpur court.

Salman Khan was convicted in the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case by a Jodhpur court.

The other actors, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam were acquitted. The 52-year-old Dabangg actor was found guilty of all the charges under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Arms Act.

The actor is accused of killing two Blackbucks when he, along with other actors, was shooting for Hum Saath Saath Hain.

The actor killed the blackbucks in Bhagoda ki Dhani in Kankani village near Jodhpur on the October 1-2. Other actors, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam who have been acquitted in the case, were also present with Salman Khan during the hunting session.
