5.2 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Parts of Country

Islamabad (July 8, 2017): Earthquake hit Islamabad and adjoining areas on Saturday.

As per details, a 5.2 magnitude earthquake jolted Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Mansehra, Abbotabad and other areas of the country.

The tremors were also felt in Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley and other areas.

The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 5.2 on the Richter scale, while the epicenter of the quake was in Kaghan Valley.

The depth of the quake was stated to be 13 kilometer.

There is no immediate report of casualty or damages to property. However, people went out of their homes in fear and recited verses from Holy Quran.
