Can’t Associate Kareena Beyond Poo: Sara Ali

Entertainment Desk (November 17, 2018): It has been quite an exciting year for Sara Ali Khan. The young starlet is waiting for the release of her two films, Kedarnath and Simmba.

The trailer of Kedarnath hit the web just a few days ago, and was showered with glowing praises. Fans raved about Sara’s screen presence and charisma, and are now eager to see her on screen.

In a recent interview, Sara was asked about stepmom Kareena Kapoor Khan, and the influence she has on her. Sara revealed that she was a huge fan of Kareena’s character Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001).Asked what she likes most about Kareena, she said, “Ki woh unki favourite hai. (That she is her own favourite person) ‘Main apni favourite hoon!’ I have grown up watching K3G. I sometimes can’t associate her beyond Poo. It’s really shocking.”

During the trailer launch of Kedarnath, Sara was asked about Kareena and what she taught her about making a debut in Bollywood. Sara said, “Kareena Kapoor Khan is amazing in the way she works and is extremely professional.

If there is anything, I would like to learn from her is the professionalism. I would like to imbibe her professionalism in me.”

The teaser and trailer of Kedarnath caused quite a stir, as several priests from the town Kedarnath and Ajendra Ajay, who is part of the state BJP’s media relations team, expressed their anger against the film and said that it was promoting ‘love-jihad.’“By setting a romantic love story against the backdrop of a huge tragedy that occurred at Kedarnath, a centre of faith for crores of Hindus, the filmmakers have shown great disrespect to the followers of the religion,” Ajay had said.
