Samita was born on October 17, 1955, in Puna, India. She completed her education in Maharashtra. After completing the 12th standard, she first appeared in Marathi television as a news anchor.
During a long film career of ten years, Samita Patel had cast in many movies, in which her great and versatile performances was greatly appreciated by the audience.
In the honour of Samita Patel excellency, she had awarded many film fares awards, national film award and 2nd highest civilian award “Padmashre” by the Indian government.
Samita Patel died on December 13, 1986, at the age of only 31. But because of her fabulous acting, she was still alive in the hearts of her fans.
