Oman(August 16, 2018): Seven Saudi nationals were killed, and five others injured in a car accident in Haima, central Oman, on Tuesday. The head-on collision involved their vehicle and a truck, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said.
The victims died on the spot. Five others sustained medium to serious injuries and were transported to hospitals in Haima and Nizwa. No more information has been made available about the accident.
In an online statement, the ROP said, “A collision between two vehicles before the Haima province of Wusta governorate resulted in the deaths of seven people and injury of others five. All are from Saudi Arabia.”
An official at the ROP told Gulf News that investigations were underway, without giving further details.
