KARACHI: The efforts of Abb Takk News have finally borne fruit as the repairs and renovations works on Jam Sadiq Bridge linking Korangi Industrial Area to other parts of Karachi have finally completed. Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and Sindh Local Bodies Minister Nasir Shah performed the inauguration ceremony of the repaired bridge.
The repairs and renovations works took seven months to complete and finally Jam Sadiq Bridge has been opened for traffic earlier today.
Abb Takk News had telecast the news to draw the attention of the authorities to the bad condition of the Bridge seven months ago to make the authorities undertake the repairs and renovations works.
Talking to media on the occasion Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah said that Jam Sadiq bridge was repaired keeping in view of the convenience of the people.
The repairs and renovations works cost Rs 220 million.
Replying to questions the chief minister rejected Kalabagh Dam saying that it would not be built. Three provinces including Sindh have given their verdict about the Dam , he said. He also called statements of NAB officials about embezzlement of 22,000 acres of land baseless and untrue.
