Islamabad (August 11, 2017): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet has been restructured.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has removed Finance Minister Ishaq Dar from the chairmanship of the ECC and has launched himself in the position.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar headed the ECC during the four year government of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif who was made to abdicate his office after the 5-nil verdict of apex Supreme Court that disqualified him in Panamagate case.
It may be mentioned here that Prime Minister Abbasi will be arriving in Karachi on the first visit after taking oath of his office. He will pay respects to the Founder of the Nation Muhammad Ali Jinnah by offering prayer at his mausoleum.
During his first official visit of Karachi the prime minister will also meet Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair Umar. He will also meet the delegations of PMLN, MQM Pakistan, and religious scholars during his Karachi visit.
