LAHORE: Accountability Court on Friday extended the judicial remand of Former Chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Asif Hashmi for another 12 days.
As per details, Former Chairman ETPB Asif Hashmi was produced before Accountability Court in Lahore as his previous judicial remand was ended today in a case pertaining to illegal recruitments.
Accountability Court during the hearing of a case pertaining to illegal appointments of 777 peoples extended the judicial remand of the Former Chairman ETPB Asif Hashmi till May 22.
Asif Hashmi before the production said that bribery is a common practice even in so-called ‘Naya Pakistan’. He got bail from the court on March 18 but still serving in Jail. I have paid a bribe as well but my surety bonds haven’t been testified yet.
He alleged that the Chief Secretary is busy in providing facilities to the leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Hashmi said that his only crime is that he is from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
