AC Extends Saad, Salman’s Judicial Remand For 14 Days

LAHORE: Accountability Court of Lahore on Thursday extended judicial remand of Khawaja Saad Rafique and Khawaja Salman Rafique for 14 days, ordering them to appear before the court for next hearing on May 02.

According to details, Accountability Court Judge Najmul Hasan took up the Paragon Housing Scandal case today.

During the course of proceedings, the court inquired NAB prosecutor regarding the filing of references against the suspects.

NAB prosecutor responded that the reference has been prepared however it will be filed as soon it gets approved from the Chairman of Anti-graft watchdog Javed Iqbal.“Chairman NAB gives the final approval, therefore, I am not in the position to provide an appropriate date when the reference will be filed”, the prosecutor said.

He ensured that the reference will soon be tabled before the court.

The Accountability Court then extended the judicial remand of senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwarts and brothers Khawaja Saad and Salman Rafique.
