Islamabad (March 15, 2018): The accountability court on Thursday partially approved the plea from Maryam Nawaz for not making the JIT report part of the court proceedings in the NAB references filed in London flat case.
The counsel of Maryam Nawaz challenged the decision to make the entire record of Panama JIT as part of case proceedings on Thursday.
The NAB prosecutor said that some parts of volume 3, 4 and 5 would be helpful and necessary for evidence in the case. He rejected the objection from the Maryam’s counsel and said that JIT was one of the key proofs in the case.

Announcing the verdict later, the judge Muhammad Bashir remarked that the analysis from the JIT would not be made part of the court proceedings along with the testimonies of the witnesses in it.
The court however asked the former JIT head to record the JIT evidences in the court proceedings. The judge Muhammad Bashir also asked Wajid Zia to present the record in a series.
Meanwhile, despite being exempted from the proceedings, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz remained in the court to attend the proceedings.
