LAHORE: Accountability Court of Lahore on Monday (today) will resume hearing on Ramzan Sugar Mills and Ashiana Housing Scheme case involving Former Chief Minister of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz.
According to details, Judge Najmul Hasan will take up the references filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Hamza Shehbaz will appear before the court in Ramzan Sugar Mills case and his father has been summoned in both Ramzan Mills and Ashiana Housing Scheme case.
However, Shehbaz Sharif’s lawyer Amjad Pervez will submit a plea before the court seeking Former CM Punjab’s exemption from hearing since he is abroad.
It may be pertinent to mention that all suspects in both references including Hamza and Shehbaz Sharif have been indicted by the court.
In the last hearing, Lawyer Amjad Pervez submitted Shehbaz’s medical report to the Accountability Court which faced objection from the court for travelling abroad without the court’s permission.
