Accountability Court Decides to Indict former PM Gillani

ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court (AC) has decided on Tuesday to indict former prime minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani in allotting illegal contracts for advertisements case.

According to details, the accountability court heard the case against the former prime minister in allotting illegal contracts for government advertisings and deciding to indict him in the case summoned him on January 13.

It is pertinent to mention that the reference has been filed against Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and other six accused on September 6, 2018, alleging they caused the loss of 120 million rupees to the national exchequer.

NAB alleged that Yousaf Raza Gillani has directed to run promotion campaign from Universal Service Fund (USF) and former secretary IT Farooq Awan has run the campaign using illegal powers that caused the loss of national exchequer.
