KARACHI: The man arrested by police for re-selling graves has revealed during police investigation that he was involved in the reselling graves to grieving families looking for graves to bury their loved one in different graveyards of the city.
The gravedigger Fayyaz arrested by Azizabad Police for reselling graves in Hussainabad graveyard has recorded his initial statement.
In his statement he had made revelations. He told the police that Rs10,000 to 15,000 were being paid for removing dead bodies from the graves. The accused reportedly told the police that six to seven of his accomplices were also involved in the crime who are active in different Karachi graveyard.
Meanwhile, the accused Fayyaz was produced before a judicial magistrate in the City Court. The magistrate released the accused on bail against furnishing surety of Rs10 thousands.
Talking to journalists at City Court the accused rejected the allegations of reselling graves by removing bodies from the graves.
He said that her was being framed in the case. He added that he was not a grave diggers.
