Afghanistan Decide To Bowl After Winning Toss Against Bangladesh

SOUTHAMPTON: Afghanistan skipper Gulbadin Naib won the toss and elected to bowl against Bangladesh in their World Cup match at Southampton.

Both teams have made two changes. Afghanistan have brought in Dawlat Zadran and Samiullah Shinwari in place of Hazratullah Zazai and Aftab Alam.

On the other hand, Bangladesh have replaced Rubel Hossain and Sabbir Rahman with Mosaddek Hossain and Mohammad Saifuddin.

With 5 points in 6 matches, Bangladesh are at the sixth spot in ICC World Cup 2019 Points Table while Afghanistan is at the bottom.

Bangladesh will have to win their remaining three matches and expect results of other matches to benefit them.

Bangladesh have batted pretty well so far in the tournament. Shakib-al-Hasan is in the form of his life as he has scored two centuries in World Cup 2019

Afghanistan has lost all six games so far but gave India a run for their money in a thrilling match. They were also good as a batting unit against England where it used all 50 overs for the first time this tournament.

Afghanistan take a lot of confidence from the fact that they restricted the famed Indian batting unit to 224 for 8. Gulbadin Naib will expect his spinners to weave their magic once again against an in-form Bangladesh batting line-up on Monday.
