AGP Assures to Respond after Written Verdict

Islamabad (July 28, 2017): Attorney General for Pakistan Ashtar Ausaf on Friday said that he would not say anything without going through the written judgment of the apex court.

Talking to reporters after SC pronounced its verdict on Panamagate case, the AGP clarifies that he has not said anything about the judgment and whatever was being attributed to him in the media was incorrect.

He also advised media to demonstrate responsibility and report carefully the court proceeding.

He added that wrong statements were being attributed to him, saying that he would not comment on the judgment until he goes through the written verdict of the court.It is to be mentioned here that the five-member larger bench pronounced its verdict on Panama case disqualifying the Prime Minister.

The court directed that NAB references should be filed against the PM and his children and son-in-law Capt (retd) Muhammad Safder.
