Lahore (May 14, 2018): Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal said in his video message he thanked Almighty Allah who has given him new life.
He made these views in his video message released after discharged from Lahore’s Services Hospital on Monday after remaining under treatment for nine days.

Ahsan Iqbal was shot during a corner meeting in Narowal’s Kanjrur tehsil on May 6.
In his video message Iqbal he thanked entire nation praying for him and also international leaders supporting him in such a crucial time.
He also hailed Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal Bhutto and other political leaders who came to the hospital for his health inquiry.
Police had arrested a 22-year-old man, who had confessed to opening fire on the minister due to the Khatm-i-Nabuwwat issue.
The principal of Services Institute of Medical Sciences Professor Mehmood Ayaz confirmed that Iqbal was discharged from the hospital today.
He said that Iqbal’s “wounds have healed.”
He added: “The stitches on his abdomen have also been taken off, however, the interior minister should not resume his political activities as yet.”
We have advised him to stay home,” the doctor said while adding that the stitches on Iqbal’s arm will be opened in a week.
Upon being discharged from the hospital, Iqbal visited his mother’s grave in Johar Town. Speaking to reporters outside the hospital, Iqbal’s son thanked the media for their “genuine concern and responsible reporting”.
According to Services Hospital’s officials, the interior minister is in a lot better shape following his treatment.
