Islamabad (October 24, 2017): Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that attempts were being made to create an atmosphere of tension through protests and demonstrations over Khatm-e-Nabuat issue.
Talking to media after attending launching ceremony of UNODC report regarding anti-narcotics, Ahsan Iqbal said that no one would be allowed to take law into its hands.
The minister said that Pakistan had paid a heavy price of Afghan war, adding that the war resulted in increased instances of terrorism and drug use in the country.
He said that drug and KK culture were the results of Afghan war.
He added that Usama bin Laden was also introduced by Pakistan the then allies.
The minister said that there was law regarding Khatm-e-Nabuat but some religious parties wanted to create tension over the issue.
It is to be mentioned here that Tahreek Labaik Ya Rasoollalah is holding Khatm-e-Nabuat rally from Lahore to Islamabad. In the wake of the rally, Islamabad administration has sealed the Red Zone by placing containers at the exits and entry points.
Additional contingents of police and law enforcement agencies have also been deployed.
