ALEPPO: At least 42 people were killed and dozens others wounded in an airstrike on a mosque at al-Jina village, southwest of Atarib near Aleppo on Thursday, said Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The warplanes targeted the mosque when it was full of worshippers at evening prayer. Head of the Observatory Rami Abdel Rahman said, ” May people are still trapped under rubble and we believe the number of casualties will increase.”
The village is located in one of the main rebel-held parts of Syria, the northwest that includes Idlib province and the Western parts of Aleppo province. It is not clear who exactly carried out the airstrike.
