Nawaz had appealed the London Land Registry Department for retrieval of the documents.

Nawaz’s counsel, Khuwaja Haris showed documents of three companies before the court. He said, “We have retrieved documents of three companies, we’ll bring other documents soon.”

“Documents reveal that sale and purchase of the property was only business Mr. Hasan Nawaz did”, claimed Khuwaja Haris. Moreover, Khuwaja demanded the court to return the documents after inspection for attestation.“We’ll submit the documents in the court once they are all authorized.”, said Nawaz’s counsel.

Consequently, Accountability court after viewing the documents thoroughly returned them to defendants in the case.

In the hearing held on December 13, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Prosecutor, Sardar Muzaffar, claimed that the JIT’s put forward report cannot be labelled as an investigation report.

Prosecutor Sardar Muzaffar held a tough stance against PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif and said, “In his addresses, Nawaz Sharif has declared that he has uncountable proofs, then where are those solid proofs? If he will not present them before the court then where will he present them?”The Prosecutor stated, “Despite several provided opportunities, Hussain Nawaz never appeared before Accountability court, Hussain Nawaz is the one who has his father’s property in his name, a trial is underway over him in Section 5 of the Criminal Code.”“NAB has proved their case, it was the basic responsibility of the offenders in the case to present sources of their assets”, added Sardar Muzaffar.

Nonetheless, Judge Arshad Malik remarked, “The four elements that Khuwaja Haris mentioned are related to civil cases. In civil cases, the true owner keeps original records with himself in order to prove his ownership.”The Judge added, “However, things are quite different in this case as the offender [Mian Nawaz Sharif] possesses properties in someone else’ name, attempting to hide his name from the properties ownership tag.”
