Alamgir Arrested Once Again In FIR Against Violent Protest Outside Minister Office

KARACHI: Fixit Chief and Member of National Assembly (NA) from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Alamgir Khan has been arrested once again after his release from Aram Bagh police station.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South Sheraz Nazeer has said that Alamgir Khan has been arrested as his name is included in the FIR lodged after the violent protest outside the office of the local body minister Saeed Ghani.


The SSP added that besides Alamgir Khan as many as 35 people of Pakistan Peoples Party and Fixit are also under police custody.

Earlier Police had Alamgir Khan along with his workers from Teen Talwar Clifton neighborhood of the city and released him just after a brief time in jail.

The Fixit had staged a protest outside the office of local body minister Saeed Ghani situated at Teen Talwar Clifton. Activists of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) also gathered outside the office and before the protest of the Fixit and came face to face.


The police batton charged the protestors to disperse the protesting party workers and arrested many of the workers.

In the meanwhile, the Fixit chief Alamgir Khan decided to reach the spot by himself while as he reaches the venue Police apprehended him while the administration didn’t allow him to hold a presser at the spot.


After the arrest talking to media, Alamgir Khan said that the protest has been staged against worst water and sewerage situation in the city.
