ISLAMABAD: Aleem Khan, the senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Punjab minister, on Wednesday tendered his resignation from membership of four standing committees in Punjab Assembly.
Assembly Secretariat has approved the resignation and also issued a notification in this regard.
The reason of Aleem’s action of tendering resignations has not surfaced yet however, certain sources have reported that it may have been the result of ongoing internal rifts within PTI.
It is to be noted that the former Punjab minister is being investigated by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
