Karachi (September 02, 2018): Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Ali Raza Abidi has resigned from party membership and forwarded his resignation to Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.
According to details, the former member National Assembly resigned over distribution of party ticket for NA-243 seat.

MQM-P had filed nomination papers of Faisal Sabzwari for by-elections in NA-243 and ignored Ali Raza Abidi.
This is a major setback for the MQM-P, especially considering that the resignation comes ahead of the by-polls, wherein Abidi believed he would be nominated in the NA-243 constituency.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Imran Khan had won during the July 25 general election but later let go of the NA-243 seat.
