ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said that all bodies of PK-661 crash victims were identified and subsequently handed over to the heirs.
Talking to media in Islamabad Friday the minister said that the dead bodies of all Pakistanis have been handed over to their heirs.
He further said that contact was being made with the respective embassies to hand over the dead bodies of the foreigners.
Chaudhry said that Rs5.5 million has been announced as ‘support’ fund, including “insurance [for] the survivors of each victim.’
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-661 carrying 48 passengers and crew crashed on the way to Islamabad from Chitral on Dec 7. The passenger list confirmed singer-turned-evangelist Junaid Jamshed and his family also died in the crash.
