ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) justice (retd) Javed Iqbal on Tuesday said that business community has a vital role in the development of the country while every section of the society has to play its due role to root out corruption from the society.
A delegation of the business community called on NAB chairman Javed Iqbal at its headquarter in Islamabad.
Chairman NAB Javed Iqbal said that business community is playing a vital role in economic development of the country adding that country prosperity lies in businessman well being.
Javed Iqbal said that the It is a major achievement of NAB that it deposited a sum of Rs 303 billion in the national exchequer since its inception recovering from corrupt elements.
“The people not only have precious properties in various countries but also owned plazas and billion of rupees those who looted the country,” he said.
Representatives of the business community said that they stood with the chairman NAB shoulder to shoulder in his resolve of eradicating corruption from the society.
Chairman further apprised the business community that a special desk has been established in the NAB headquarters under the director level officer to resolve business community complains immediately.
