MANSEHRA: The by-election on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly seat PK-30 has commenced. The polling began at 8 am and will end at 5 pm.
Tough competition is expected between PTI and its arch-rival PML-N as 193,000 men and women voters registered in the constituency are casting their vote.
Around 2000 security personnel, including 1200 army soldiers, would be deployed to ensure peaceful polling. As many as 186 male and female polling stations have been established across the constituency.
The seat had fallen vacant following the disqualification of PML-N lawmaker Mian Ziaur Rehman by the top court last year.
