ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Khursheed Shah, detained in the National Accountability Bureau, has demanded Supreme Court of Pakistan to take suo motu action on the arrest of the opposition leaders.
Talking to media after an appearance before the Accountability Court in Islamabad, Khursheed Shah said that false allegations have been levelled against him.
Khursheed Shah demanded the Supreme Court to take suo moto notice on the opposition leaders arrest adding that many inquiries are also continued against the incumbent government members including Prime Minister Imran khan but they are not arrested only the opposition members are arrested.
The ex-opposition leader said the government double standard made him disappointed.
He said that he received notice from the anti-corruption body to appear before it on September 18 and he was arrested on the same day.
The PPP leader said that whole of his life struggled against the menace of corruption adding that no any property belonged to him except what he has declared in this assets while properties belonging to others attributed to him.
