Karachi (July 15, 2017): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that alliance with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was the biggest mistake of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony in Mawach Goth in connection with victory in PS-114.
While Pakistan Peoples Party triumphant candidate from PS-114, Saeed Ghani lashed out at MQM and said, “MQM is the same as it was before. There is no difference between ‘London’ and ‘Pakistan’, he claimed, explaining that both factions worked together during the PS-114 by-elections. Ghani said it is for the first time in Karachi’s history that such a transparent election has occurred.
Later, PPP activists celebrated victory in PS-114 and performed firework. It is pertinent to mention here that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) withheld Saeed Ghani’s victory notification on PS-114 constituency after MQM filed a petition accusing PPP of rigging the elections.
