Upper Lake (August 01, 2018): A new blaze erupted Tuesday and drove through a rural area near a national forest. About 60 homes in an old ranching and farming, were ordered evacuated as the blaze erupted.
According to details, gusty winds quickly drove it through about a square mile of brush and grasslands, oak, pine and timber near Mendocino National Forest.According to international news agency, about 60 homes in an old ranching and farming area near Covelo, which is about 180 miles, north of San Francisco, were ordered evacuated as the blaze erupted late in the afternoon.
According to officials, firefighting aircraft were called in. However, there were no immediate reports of homes being burned.
Yesterday, the twin fires in Mendocino and Lake counties forced 15,000 people to flee from two northern California wildfires.Earlier, on July 28, a fast-growing northern California wildfire killed two firefighters after high winds drove it into the city of Redding. It prompted mass evacuations, destroying scores of homes and threatening some 5,000 other dwellings and businesses.
