KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday forecasted another monsoon spell in Karachi stating that monsoon rain and wind-thunderstorm will hit the city from Friday (August 9) to Monday (August 14) prior to the Eid-ul-Azha.
Chief Meteorological Officer (CMO) Sardar Sarfraz informed that a well-marked monsoon low pressure has formed over North Bay of Bengal and its adjoining areas, likely to move towards Sindh around morning of August 9. Under the influence of this weather system:
Widespread rains/wind-thunderstorm is expected in Mirpurkhas, Thatta, Hyderabad, Karachi, Shaheed Benazirabad divisions from Friday (evening/night) to Monday (morning).
