KARACHI: A Pakistani fisherman languishing in an Indian jail was beaten to death by the jail staff of the Indian prison here on Thursday.
According to details, the fisherman named Muhammad Sohail was arrested at sea by the Indian coastguard on October 2, 2016, during a fishing trip when his trawler drifted to the Indian side by mistake.
“The dead body of fishermen will be brought back to Pakistan in next three to four days,” said the Fishermen Cooperative Society (FCS).
The deceased was the resident of Mohammadi colony area of Karachi.
