Anti-Judiciary Speech: Petitioner Ordered to Remove Registrar Office Objections

ISLAMABAD: The Lahore High Court on Monday directed the petitioner to remove the objection raised by the registrar office over his plea seeking action against prime minister Imran Khan for hate speech.

The justice Mamoon Rashid heard the case against PM Imran for anti-judiciary speeches.

The petitioner told the court that Imran Khan has targeted the judiciary and tried to influence the courts by using his speeches.

“Criticism on top court judges comes under the contempt of court as the top court in 2013 issued a notice to Imran Khan for his anti-judiciary speech while the court had also announced the sentences to Talal Chaudhry and Nehal Hashmi for their speeches against judiciary.

Justice Mamoon questions maintainability of the petition and directed the lawyer to make the original file part of the case.
