KARACHI: Renowned businessman Anwer Majeed on Saturday refutes claims of weapons recovery from his office and clarified that the weapons recovered from the office of UBL Omni Plus and it did not belong to him.
He said UBL Omni Plus nothing to do with Omni Group of Industries. Anwer Majeed said in a statement that Kamran and Kashif had been taken into custody from Omni office but later they were released.
He said Shahzad Shahid, Rajab Ali Rabpar and Ajmal Khan neither belong to the company nor present in the office at the time of raid.
The statement further said that the weapons recovered from UBL Omni Plus’s office located at I.I. Chundrigar Road and UBL Omni Plus did not belong to Omni Group of Industries.
Anwer Majeed said that Omni Group of Industries were not involved in any illegal business or activities.
