JERUSALEM: An Israeli Arab member parliament Taleb Abu Arar raised Azan in the Knesset (Israeli parliament) amid voting on a controversial bill that would limit the prayer call.
He was of the view that his move was meant to protest the Israeli bill that aims to bar mosque from using loudspeakers for the call prayer in East Jerusalem and Arab communities in Israel.
Jewish parliamentarians made great hue and cry to stop him but Taleb completed the Azan in the Knesset.
