Rawalpindi (August 23, 2017): Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday called Nawaz Sharif and inquired about the health of his wife.
According to Director General Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Maj General Asif Ghafoor, the Chief of Army Staff Staff made a telephone call to Mian Nawaz Sharif.
COAS made a tel call to Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. Expressed his best wishes and prayers for health of Begum Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif.

He said that the Army Chief inquired about the health of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, who has been diagnosed throat cancer, and expressed best wishes ans prayers for her health.
Gen Ghafoor in a tweet said: “COAS made a tel call to Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. Expressed his best wishes and prayers for health of Begum Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif.”
It is to be mentioned here Kulsoom Nawaz has been diagnosed with throat cancer.
According to British doctors treating the former premier’s wife, her cancer is in inititial stage and curable. Kulsoom’s treatment will begin in a few days.
Kulsoom Nawaz is Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz candidate for NA-120.
