Islamabad (June 25, 2018): Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on caretaker Prime Minister Nasir-ul-Mulk in Islamabad on Monday and issues related to holding of peaceful polls came under discussion.
During the meeting, law and order issues and internal security situation was discussed.

During the meeting, they also discussed deployment of security personnel on sensitive polling stations while Army Chief briefed him on the steps taken by the military.
It is pertinent to mention that Election Commission of Pakistan had already been requested for the deployment of more than 3 hundred thousand personnel.
General Bajwa and Justice (retd) Mulk earlier held a meeting on June 6.
During the meeting, which was the first since Justice (retd) Mulk was sworn in as caretaker premier, the country’s current security situation and other matters were discussed.
Justice (retd) Mulk, who is the seventh caretaker prime minister of Pakistan, was sworn in on June 1.
