Army Paid Homage to Chaman Martyrs 

Chaman (May 29, 2017): Homage paid to martyred of Chaman, who were embraced martyrdom in firing by Afghanistan forces, in a ceremony in Chaman with the pledge their families would be looked after by the Pakistani armed forces, ISPR said.

Addressing to the ceremony Commander Southern Command General Amir Riaz  vowed that look after of the families of the martyrs was the responsibility of the Pakistan army and it would be fulfilled.

“The children of the martyr families will be provided education free of cost,” he announced.

ISPR said that Rs 3.4 million and 1.4 tons of food have been distributed among the victims of the Afghan borders forces firing.

Provincial government also announced relief package for the martyrs and injured of Chaman firing incident.

On May 5, at least 12 civilians were martyred and 42 injured when Afghan border forces opened fire on Frontier Corps Balochistan soldiers deployed for security of census team near the Chaman border.
